The new LH-inexpensive airline Eurowings flies in future from Vienna

Eurowings, the new inexpensive airline within the Lufthansa group, will open its first base outside of Germany in Vienna. Initially, two Airbus A320 will be based at Vienna airport starting Winter 2015/2016 offering point to point connection on Europe routes and service through Austrian Airlines personnel. Until the end of 2015, Eurowings and Germanwings will collectively target price –sensitive travellers with inexpensive short and long haul offers. Eurowings will adopt the Germanwings tariff system Best, Smart and Basic.

Miami new long distance destination with Austrian

Austrian Airlines is including a new long distance destination in its North America flight plan. Starting the 16th of October 2015, a non-stop flight from Vienna to Miami will be offered five times per week. The planned flight schedule is as follows: every MO/WE/FR/SA/SU: Vienna-Miami 09:55-15:20/ Miami-Vienna 17:10-08:50.

We advise you to quickly order ahead your parking tickets for Vienna airport, since as of April 2015 Vienna airport will increase its prices again. Our time cards are in all cases valid until March 2017. Even after the price change, you still save starting with a parking time of a bit more than 2 days (49 hours)! Austrian strengthens rail connection between Linz and Vienna

The AlRail, a cooperation between Austrian Airlines and OBB, that since December 14 is connecting Linz Hauptbahnhof directly with Vienna airport, will to a great extent replace air connection in the future. Passengers are fond of the new service to the extent that the 4 daily flights in cooperation with Welcome Air will stop operating by the end of March 2014. Both the morning and evening flights run by Austrian Airlines will continue to operate. Also, the Austrian route Linz-Düsseldorf will remain unchanged.

Swiss extends offer in business class

Passengers traveling on the Swiss Business Class on European routes can with immediate effect enjoy better sitting comfort, more private space due to the guaranteed free neighboring seat and bus transfer on selected airports. A separate bus picks up business-class guests from the plane, given that the plane is parked at a distance from the terminal on the airport ramp. In Germany, this service is effective in Frankfurt, Munich and Stuttgart airports.  On long-distance hauls, Swiss expands its culinary service by offering a wide variety of appetizers and adding an extra course of cheese. In addition, new lounges will be opened for senators and business class guests on Dock E at Zurich airport.

airberlin strengthens Germany routes via Graz and Salzburg

airberlin will increase its connections between Graz and Berlin, starting the end of March 2015, by adding a Saturday flight: Berlin-Graz 12:50-14:20/Graz-Berlin 14:50-16:15. This route will accordingly operate non-stop once daily.  Passengers flying from Salzburg will benefit from a higher frequency of flights starting the 1st of April 2015, respectively followed by a changed flight schedule to Düsseldorf. The previous midday connection will now operate on Saturdays only, however there will be an additional late morning (MO-SA) as well as afternoon (MO-FR+SU) non-stop flight offered by airberlin instead.
