Eurowings, the new inexpensive airline within the Lufthansa group, will open its first base outside of Germany in Vienna. Initially, two Airbus A320 will be based at Vienna airport starting Winter 2015/2016 offering point to point connection on Europe routes and service through Austrian Airlines personnel. Until the end of 2015, Eurowings and Germanwings will collectively target price –sensitive travellers with inexpensive short and long haul offers.
