Lufthansa to tighten the rules for bookings

In 2015 Lufthansa introduced numerous innovations: Premium Economy on long-haul routes and especially the new fare concept in Europe as well as changes in their distribution policy are worth to mention.

Before end of 2015, new and even more restrictive booking rules were published. Lufthansa has explicitly asked us to inform our customers about this adopted policy. Here you will find the letter titled “Lufthansa booking policy version 2.0”  addressed to travel agencies, with all details.

These new and restrictive booking regulations effect all Lufthansa travel documents and are in many ways – compared to those of other airlines – extremely limiting. Lufthansa threatens with additional charges in case of disregarding these rules. To prevent damage from you as customer and us as travel agency, we will precisely follow all of these new booking regulations.

Please do not hesitate to contact your Booking team or Key accounting team in case of questions.
