Korean Air’s new “Skypets” frequent flyer program for pets

Not only frequent flyers can earn miles – their accompanying pets can too! Korean Air is introducing its SKYPETS program.

This new program is aimed at enabling straight-forward travel planning with pets. Korean Air transports dogs, cats, and birds in the cabin or in checked luggage depending on their size and weight. Registration can be done on the Korean Air website. The stamps acquired with each flight can be redeemed for free flights and discounts. Pets earn one stamp per domestic flight and two stamps per international flight.

To obtain a price reduction of 50% on the service fee for pets, owners need six stamps per domestic flight and twelve per international flight. After a dozen stamps have been earned, the entire fee is cancelled for domestic flights. After 24 stamps; a ticket for international routes is provided. These stamps are valid for three years.
