Air Berlin has a new seating concept

4 separate seating categories are now bookable on all Short, Medium and Long-haul flights from Air Berlin:

  • XL Seats – have 15cm more leg room (in the row behind the Emergency Exit, on Long-haul flights in the front of the cabin).
  • Preferred Seats – for faster disembarkation ( in rows 1-4, or on Long-haul flights, the row of two seats at the front of the cabin); in addition, overhead bins are reserved for these seats!
  • 2 Standard Seat Categories A and B: provide more creature comforts. They differ in location by aircraft (example: on Short and Medium-haul flights, Category A seats are in the front of the cabin and Category B seats in the back of the cabin.)

Details can be found in the Overview. It should be noted that the front rows are no longer pre-reserved for Top Bonus status customers. We recommend that you reserve them with our VB/AX Service team, directly at the time of booking.
